second part of a single 45 rpm with a few songs and speeches of the Franciscan
Cabaret. The single was issued as a fund-raising campaign for the Franciscan
flying service in New Guinea. The Franciscan Cabaret was founded specifically
in 1958 for this campaign and performed in the holidays of 1958 in hospitals,
retirement centres, monasteries and alike institutions 66 times in 25 days. This
record was the result of their programme. The address of Wings of Mercy was in
Amstelveen and in the Franciscan monastery in Nieuwe Niedorp. It starts with an
introduction and song about a mouse suddenly jumping on the table of the family
of Arie Leister on a Sunday evening. On 3’35 an introduction and song about
grandmother who took her lifelong care of the children but was not so good
treated by them when she got old. On 5’05 a song about the goat of the aunt. On
6’47 a song about singing summer and winter old songs for the cosiness.
